Setting Up Masternodes

Set Up a Masternode on XDC Mainnet

Step 1: Host the Masternode by downloading the One-Click Installer (recommended) or by using a Docker Compose file.

Step 2: Once downloaded, run the One-Click Installer on the server.

Upon successful installation, you will receive the Coinbase address.

Step 3: View the active node.

Step 4: Create a new account address from the XDC wallet. It will generate an exclusive XDC address. The new address will contain the balance required to propose the Masternode.

Step 5: Log in to the Masternode app using the private key.

Step 6: To become a candidate, upload the Know Your Community (KYC) certificate in PDF format. This KYC certificate needs to be signed by any of the following: a company secretary, notary public, chartered secretary, consulate, or a lawyer with a seal.

For organization format, Click here.

Note: The certificate must be uploaded in PDF format.

Step 7: Once the KYC document is uploaded, enter the Coinbase address and lock 10 million XDC tokens before running the Masternode.

Step 8: The proposed node will be added to the Masternode list randomly through the round-robin method. Upon a successful addition to the Masternode's list, rewards will be sent to the assigned XDC wallet. If your node is a standby node, rewards are deposited during the first week of the month.
